Quest 2025

Step into worlds of fantasy, inspired by folklore, Lord of the Rings, Minecraft and more! 

The North Shields Opera project is back. QUEST 2025 comes to The Exchange 1856 this October: a spectacular fantasy adventure, written by pupils from local primary and secondary schools, and performed by the 200 strong choirs, North Shields Opera Chorus & North Tyneside Youth Choir, with star appearances from North East soloists Austin Gunn (tenor), Bradley Creswick (violin) and Emily Murray (piano) conducted by Tim Burke.

I want to be in it! 

If you’re over 18, come and sing in North Shields Opera Chorus at St Cuthberts Church, North Shields, Thursdays 7pm-9:30pm September 18th, 25th, October 2nd & 9th. Just turn up on the day or email info@tete-a-tete.org.uk for more details. No audition or previous experience required – everyone is welcome! 

If you’re 14-18 come and sing in North Tyneside Youth Choir at John Spence School, Wednesdays 4:30pm-6pm on September 17th, 24th, October 1st, 8th & 15th. CLICK HERE to sign up for the youth choir or get more information. 

Both choirs will then come together for rehearsals with all the other performers at The Exchange 1856 Tuesday October 14th, 4:30pm-8:30pm, Saturday October 18th 9:30am-12:30pm and Sunday October 19th 11:30am-13:00pm, with public performances Sunday October 19th 2pm-3pm and 4pm-5pm.
