Brown’s Bar & Kitchen at The Exchange 1856 combines great food, entertainment and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Home to our Sunday lunches and Brown’s Presents immersive nights, the space offers a unique dining and entertainment experience.

Brown’s is also available for private hire, providing a characterful setting for weddings, parties and celebrations, with its own bar and private outdoor courtyard.

Afternoon Tea is now served at The Lounge at The Exchange 1856. Enjoy a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, fruit and cheese scones with jam and cream, home baked cakes, brownies, and your choice of tea or coffee, all freshly made by Tynemouth Coffee Bakery.

Looking to make it extra special? You can also upgrade to our Bottomless Afternoon Tea with 90 minutes of Prosecco.
