Giving back and making a difference to the lives of people, business and places across North Tyneside is our core aim.
We are implementing a wide range of initiatives to engage local communities and generate substantial social and economic value.
From skills and education programmes for schools to healthy living initiatives and community events which bring people together to build stronger connections, we are determined to make North Tyneside a better place to live, work and play.

Community events
The Exchange is here for the benefit of everyone across North Tyneside. Somewhere you belong. Our community events programme is designed for open and accessible to all. It brings everyone from the neighbourhood together to share, socialise and strengthen the bonds between us.
Children's play & learn
Play is crucial for a child’s development. Through play children discover how to deal with emotions, build social skills and learn self-discipline. Every Sunday from June 2024, we will be introducing weekly play & learn sessions for children. Providing a stimulating and safe place to help your little ones develop through play. Sign up here
Special occasions
From baby showers to special occasion parties and big birthdays, we offer tailor made packages to create the perfect event for you. We have a dedicated team of event planners to help, or if you prefer, we can simply provide the space to let you do things your way. Join us and make some memories.
Health and wellbeing
We support the community with a range of specialist health and wellbeing programmes such as Yoga for the elderly, fitness for pregnant mums and tailored exercise activities for those with disabilities. Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date.
Schools, Colleges and Universities
To help improve outcomes for young people across North Tyneside, we are keen to work closely with local academic institutions. If you are a school in the area, talk to us about our special affordable rates to use The Exchange’s facilities. Get in touch to find out more.
Clubs and groups
The Exchange welcomes community groups who want to use and share our facilities for the good of local people. From partnerships with the YMCA to shared agreements with community resources like Linskill, we aim to work together with groups and partners to serve the community in the best way possible.
